The very first thing I thought was “This is too good to be true.” I met this rich pretty girl on a wealthy dating site and couldn’t believe she was interested in someone like me who is still living paycheck to paycheck. Nothing in my profile information indicated my financial status, so I assumed she wasn’t a stickler when it came to dating someone in the same tax bracket. Not so. I believe I’ve set a new record for royally screwing up a first date and it was all due to money issues.

My parents left for Brazil to celebrate their silver wedding anniversary this morning and I just can’t help but feel jealous. I really wanted to go with them and experience the beaches of Sao Paolo. I even told them I’ll stay out of their way, so they can enjoy Brazil to themselves, but to no avail. Then again I know I won’t be able to go because I have work and I also know that I’m still carrying a few extra pounds from pigging out on chips for a whole month. I have to hit the gym first and become a fit hottie before I can compete with a hot Latin guy.

For years now, my gay friend has been complaining about how he can never seem to find a long-term partner on the various gay dating sites he peruses. Every time he meet swingerss someone he’s interested, it turns out to be a one-night stand at worst or a three-month tryst at best. After dating a number of girls my age or a few years younger, I’m starting to have major doubts as to whether I’m looking for women in the right age bracket.
